And Cheryl Cole 'dumps Ashley by text'...

Cheryl Cole has sent a text message to husband Ashley telling him their relationship is over. The betrayed singer sent the message after reading of her footballer husband's five mistresses, according to reports.

Cheryl intends to return to the UK this week to announce the split, with a draft statement regarding the divorce already drawn up.

A close friend of the star told the Sun that when she headed to Los Angeles following her performance at the Brits she was still deciding her future.

But she is now clear that the marriage is over and, as the Daily Mail reported last week, is said to have consulted divorce lawyers.

'The time for any more excuses or promises is over. She wants to have put a statement out by the end of the week so she can start moving on,' the friend said.

'She has no desire to humiliate Ashley further and wishes to proceed in a dignified manner.'

Even bookmakers were last night declaring it was 'inevitable' Mrs Cole would soon be filing for divorce.

A spokesman for William Hill said: 'In our opinion, it is a done deal and we are happy to hand over winnings now.'

Yesterday one of Cole's alleged one-night stands - the fourth to come forward - claimed he had sobbed down the phone to her that he would die if he lost his wife over their fling.

He is said to have pleaded with U.S. political aide Ann Corbitt to keep quiet about twice having unprotected sex with her in a Seattle hotel last July when Chelsea was on a pre-season tour.

A fifth alleged flame, Alexandra Taylor, also came forward to say she had sex with Cole on the night he 'went public' with Cheryl in 2004.

Yesterday, Miss Corbitt told the News of the World she had no idea Cole was married until she looked him up on the internet.

Meanwhile, Miss Taylor, a 27-year-old glamour model, claimed in the Sunday Mirror that she bedded the player just hours after he and Mrs Cole danced at the National Television Awards in 2004.

Cole was exposed as a love rat in 2008 for sleeping with hairdresser Aimee Walton.

Last week, it was revealed X-rated pictures of him were sent from his phone to Page Three girl Sonia Wild.

Just days later, Mrs Cole was again devastated by claims he had slept with Vicki Gough, a 30-year-old secretary.

The news comes as Cole faces a fight for his future at Chelsea Football Club in the light of the scandal.

He faces a suspension or 'meaningful' fine from Chelsea after claims he hoodwinked the club into covering up his philandering.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Steve Atkins, Chelsea's head of media, told Cole and his lover Ann Corbitt how to silence allegations of a tryst.

However, he insists the pair misled him, saying claims of an affair were 'false'.

Sportsmail has learned Cole is to be hauled before Chelsea's board as early as Friday to explain himself.

The club decided to act because the defender's alleged affair occurred while he was 'on duty' during a tour.

Billionaire Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has already threatened players with disciplinary action, telling them to stop dragging the club's reputation through the mud.

One insider said: 'Ashley might be the best left back in the world but the players were told on Wednesday that nobody is above the law. A line has been drawn in the sand and the owner has had enough.'

Last night a club spokesman said: 'This is a private matter for Ashley Cole.

'Where anything is alleged to have happened on Chelsea FC time is an internal club matter and will be dealt with internally.'

But Chelsea are taking a very dim view of Cole's actions, not least because of the embarrassment caused to their highly regarded head of communications Steve Atkins.

Atkins was embroiled in the saga when Cole asked him to give advice to Ann Corbitt.

Cole is said to have claimed that he had not had an affair with the girl, but she now alleges that a liason took place.

While in LA, Mrs Cole has spent time with Derek Hough, a 24-year-old U.S. dancer. The pair have watched a romantic film together and dined at upmarket restaurant Katsuya.

However, Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli - who introduced the pair last October - said: 'Cheryl is going through hell. Derek is a gentleman and he's being a good friend to her. She is not the type who would do tit-for-tat.'

Cole's solicitor said the player had no comment to make. A spokesman for Mrs Cole also declined to comment.

Des photos de Cole en petite tenue et le visage sur l'oreiller prises par un téléphone portable ont fait la une ces derniers jours des tabloïds. La jeune demoiselle aurait notamment rejoint Cole un soir, à l'hôtel des joueurs la veille d'un match contre West Bromwich Albion. Le défenseur lui aurait alors demandé de ne pas faire de bruit car la chambre d'à côté était occupée par... John Terry, le capitaine des Blues. Après la révélation des ces histoires, la compagne d'Ashley Cole, Cheryl, très connue en Angleterre, est partie se consoler à Los Angeles dans les bras de Victoria Beckham...

In a week where WAGs and the
England football team have been under the spotlight, we thought it would be apt to focus on who we consider to be the ten best Premier League WAGs in recent years. While Wayne Bridge’s former girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel may be grabbing all the headlines for her involvement with Chelsea captain John Terry, there’s no reason why the other beauties should be pushed aside. 10: Charlotte Mears – The first of Jermain Defoe’s former girlfriends to appear in this list, Charlotte Mears was even engaged to the Tottenham star who is well-renowned for being busy off the field. The blonde bombshell may have been slightly naive in believing that Defoe was the man for her, but at least she did get to enjoy an extremely glamorous lifestyle for a short period of time. Not adverse to fame, Mears appeared in the 2007 TV show WAG’s boutique, and now she is one of many good looking girls to become a ‘media personality’, as well as designing lingerie.

9: Radka Kocurova – The former Miss Czech Republic is the long term partner of Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky and together they form the Posh and Becks of the Czech Republic. While Rosicky spends much of his time on the treatment table, Kocurova has spent time as a whether girl in her native country and must have brightened up the lives of many viewers. It would seem that Kocurova is also wife material for the Arsenal star even though Rosicky hasn’t exactly been the perfect boyfriend, with his misdemeanours in a hotel room generously forgiven.

8: Imogen Thomas – The 2003 Miss Wales winner shot to fame in 2006 when she graced British TV screens by appearing in Big Brother. Taking the now conventional route from reality TV to general celebrity, Imogen was a regular on the London nightclub scene after her TV appearance and presumably bumped into Defoe one night. However, like many of Defoe’s relationships this one was over before it begun, with the glamour girl stating that she liked to stay at home, whilst the Spurs striker is known to like to hit the town and party long into the night.

7: Vanessa Perroncel – The WAG at the centre of the current scandal involving current Chelsea star John Terry and former Blue Wayne Bridge, Perroncel must have caused quite a stir at Stamford Bridge. After failing to get a super-injunction, it came out in the press last week that Terry had an affair with Perroncel last year in what it hardly Dad of the Year behaviour. The story is so huge because the French model and actress was the former girlfriend of Terry’s now seemingly former best mate Wayne Bridge. It doesn’t take long to see why Vanessa Perroncel has footballers chasing after her.

6: Elena Bonzanni - Whilst Valon Behrami has been putting in eye-catching performances for West Ham in the Premier League, his girlfriend has been building up her very own fan base on the World Wide Web. Elena Bonzanni has become something on an internet sensation and it is easy to see why. Yugoslavian born Behrami has done well for himself in linking up with the Italian model who also likes to dabble in a bit of TV presenting, and let’s hope that Behrami stays with the Hammers so that Elena will grace British TV screens in the near future.

5: Michela Quattrociocche – Alberto Aquilani may not have overly impressed on the pitch in the Premier League this season, but off the pitch he has scored a stunner. Apart from being beautiful, Michela Quattrociocche has also stared in some films including ‘Sorry I Love You’, where her appearance is quite possibly the only reason why it is worth checking out. So at least when Aquilani was injured at the start of the season and was waiting to make his Liverpool debut he had someone to console him, and the pair are engaged so look out for their wedding shots in a glossy magazine soon!

4: Danielle Lloyd – The third and final former Defoe WAG to appear in the top ten, Lloyd is never one to shy away from the limelight. The former Miss England and Miss Great Britain got into strife in the 2007 edition of Celebrity Big Brother during a race row, whilst more recently she has shown a better side of herself by appearing in a documentary about domestic violence. Defoe isn’t the only footballer that the often unhealthily tanned Lloyd has been involved with either, with current fiancée Jamie O’Hara following in the footsteps of Teddy Sheringham and Marcus Bent.

3: Nikoleta Lozanova – Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov certainly seems to have a way with the ladies and any of a number of his flings could have made it onto this list. But Bulgarian model Nikoleta Lozanova is definitely a cut above the rest and would be enough to distract anyone from giving their best on the field. Interestingly Berbatov actually denied having an affair with the stunning Lozanova, which may have something to do with the fact that she is the current girlfriend of Bulgarian crime boss Georgi Stoilov, but given Berba’s track record this is hard to believe.


2: Natalie Suliman – Sunderland midfielder Kieran Richardson might not be one of the very top players in England, but his taste in women certainly deserves a place in the Premier League. Natalie Suliman’s cleavage has been hard to miss recently as it has been brandished around British cities as part of Marks and Spencer’s billboard advertising campaign and it isn’t hard to see why she was chosen as the top model. Suliman was first spotted by talent agencies at a swimming pool in Islington, and Richardson’s girlfriend is not just any WAG, she’s an M&S WAG.

1: Cheryl Cole – One of a few WAGs who can argue that they are more famous than then footballing partners, the Geordie lass got married to Chelsea defender Ashley Cole back in 2006. Well-known for being part of girl group Girls Aloud and featuring as a judge on the X-Factor, the diminutive pop star leads the way when it comes to footballers WAGs. While her music might not tick be to many people’s taste, when it comes to beauty she certainly ticks all the boxes. Who knows why Ashley cheated on her a couple of years ago, but he’s definitely a lucky boy to wake up to Cheryl every morning.

So there you have it, I think you’d have to agree that the above ladies are certainly a fine looking bunch.
